One pastor, a Calvinist, had a negative view of Lent. According to his argument, keeping Lent follows the Catholic tradition, which is to claim Christ's imperfect redemption and asceticism to fill the remnant suffering of Christ.
I don't agree with his argument. I think there is a Catholic tradition of Lent and a Protestant tradition of it. And our Lent is not trying to fill the rest of the suffering, but to look closely at the sufferings of Christ.
We should not be prejudiced.
